# §2631.3. Surveying and conveyance fees.


The carrier must pay the cost of the survey of the land, paying also one-half the cost of any segregation survey in accordance with the laws and regulations pertaining to the survey and patenting of railroad lands. (See [43 U.S.C. 881](/usc/43/881.md) et seq.; also [subpart 1822](/cfr/43/subpart1822.md) of this chapter.)
