# §2568.64. Are there different requirements for giving an allotment to the estate of a deceased veteran?


No, the estate of the deceased veteran eligible under [§ 2568.60](/cfr/43/2568.60.md) must meet the same requirements for a Native allotment as other living Alaska Native veterans. In addition, a deceased veteran must have been a resident of Alaska at the time of death.
