Townsites in Alaska may be reserved by the President and sold as provided for in sections 2380 and 2381 of the Revised Statutes; 43 U.S.C. [711](/usc/43/711.md), [712](/usc/43/712.md). The regulations governing these townsites are contained in §§ [2760.0-3](/cfr/43/2760.0-3.md) and [2761.3](/cfr/43/2761.3.md).
