# §10010.1. Purpose.


This Subpart establishes the Commission's policies for complying with [Title 1](/cfr/1.md) of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended ([42 U.S.C. 4321-4347](/usc/42/4321-4347.md)) (NEPA); [Section 2](/cfr/43/2.md) of Executive Order 11514, Protection and Enhancement of Environmental Quality, as amended by Executive Order 11991; and the regulations of the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) implementing the procedural provisions of NEPA (40 CFR parts [1500](/cfr/40/part1500.md) through [1508](/cfr/40/part1508.md)).
