# §493.1353. Scope.


In accordance with [§ 493.19(b)](/cfr/42/493.19.md?p=b), the moderate complexity procedures specified as PPM procedures are considered such only when personally performed by a health care provider during a patient visit in the context of a physical examination. PPM procedures are subject to the personnel requirements in [§§ 493.1355 through 493.1365](/cfr/42/493.1355..493.1365.md).
