# §457.343. Periodic renewal of CHIP eligibility.


The renewal procedures described in [§ 435.916](/cfr/42/435.916.md) of this chapter apply equally to the State in administering a separate CHIP, except that the State shall verify information needed to renew CHIP eligibility in accordance with [§ 457.380](/cfr/42/457.380.md) of this subpart, shall provide notice regarding the State's determination of renewed eligibility or termination in accordance with [§ 457.340(e)](/cfr/42/457.340.md?p=e) of this subpart and shall comply with the requirements set forth in [§ 457.350](/cfr/42/457.350.md) of this subpart for screening individuals for other insurance affordability programs and transmitting such individuals' electronic account and other relevant information to the appropriate program.
