# §435.210. Optional eligibility for individuals who meet the income and resource requirements of the cash assistance programs.

- (a) **Basis.** This section implements [section 1902(a)(10)(A)(ii)(I)](/cfr/42/1902.md?p=a-10-A-ii-I) of the Act.
- (b) **Eligibility.** The agency may provide Medicaid to any group or groups of individuals specified in [§ 435.201(a)(1) through (3)](/cfr/42/435.201.md?p=a-1..a-3) who meet the income and resource requirements of SSI or an optional State supplement program in States that provide Medicaid to optional State supplement recipients.
