# §433.202. Scope.


This subpart sets forth the requirements and procedures that are applicable to support State claims for the increased FMAP specified at [§ 433.10(c)(6)](/cfr/42/433.10.md?p=c-6) for the medical assistance expenditures for individuals determined eligible as specified in [§ 435.119](/cfr/42/435.119.md) of this chapter who meet the definition of newly eligible individual specified in [§ 433.204(a)(1)](/cfr/42/433.204.md?p=a-1). These procedures will also identify individuals determined eligible as specified in [§ 435.119](/cfr/42/435.119.md) of this chapter for whom the State may claim the regular FMAP rate specified at [§ 433.10(b)](/cfr/42/433.10.md?p=b) or the increased FMAP rate specified at § [433.10(c)(7)](/cfr/42/433.10.md?p=c-7) or [(8)](/cfr/42/433.10.md?p=c-8), as applicable.
