# §137.96. Does the Prompt Payment Act apply to funds transferred to a Self-Governance Tribe in a compact or funding agreement?


Yes, the Prompt Payment Act, [39 U.S.C. section 3901](/usc/39/3901.md) et seq., applies to the transfer of all funds due under a compact or funding agreement authorized pursuant to Title V. See also § [137.76 through 137.78](/cfr/42/137.76..137.78.md) and [137.341(f)](/cfr/42/137.341.md?p=f).
