# §304-9.5. Handling duplicate expense compensation.


If agencies reimburse an employee for expenses that are also paid by a donor, agencies must establish and carry out policy in accordance with [5 U.S.C. 5514](/usc/5/5514.md) and the Federal Claims Collection Standards (31 CFR parts [900](/cfr/31/part900.md) through [904](/cfr/31/part904.md)) to recover any excess amount paid to the employee.
