# §84.50. Purpose.


The purpose of the regulations in this subpart is to implement subsection (i) of [42 U.S.C. 7675](/usc/42/7675.md), with respect to establishing restrictions on the use of a regulated substance in the sector or subsector in which the regulated substance is used, and to provide requirements associated with the submission of petitions seeking such restrictions.
