# §84.114. Exemptions.

- (a) Notwithstanding the other provisions of this subpart, the regulations under this subpart do not apply to a regulated substance or a substitute for a regulated substance that is contained in a foam.
- (b) Notwithstanding the other provisions of this subpart, the regulations under this subpart do not apply to two applications, mission-critical military end uses and on board aerospace fire suppression, as listed at [§ 84.13(a)](/cfr/40/84.13.md?p=a), for a year or years for which that application receives an application-specific allowance as defined at [§ 84.3](/cfr/40/84.3.md).
