# §8.11. Prohibited acts, enforcement and penalties.

- (a) It shall be unlawful for any operator to violate this part.
- (b) An operator who violates any of this part is subject to enforcement, which may include civil and criminal enforcement proceedings, and penalties, pursuant to sections 7,8, and 9 of the Antarctic Conservation Act, as amended by the Act; 16 U.S.C. [2407](/usc/16/2407.md), [2408](/usc/16/2408.md), [2409](/usc/16/2409.md), and [45](/usc/16/45.md) CFR [part 672](/cfr/40/part672.md).
