# §79.24. Termination of registration of additives.

- (a) Registration may be terminated by the Administrator if the additive manufacturer requests such termination in writing.
- (b) Registration for an additive that has its purpose-in-use identified as a deposit control additive for use in gasoline pursuant to the requirements of [§ 79.21(d)](/cfr/40/79.21.md?p=d) may be terminated by the Administrator if the EPA determines that the detergent additive is not compliant with the gasoline deposit control requirements of [40 CFR 1090.260](/cfr/40/1090.260.md).
