# §721.525. 1-propanol, 3-propoxy-.

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) **The chemical substance identified as 1-propanol, 3-propoxy- (PMN P-00-0827; CAS No.** 4161-22-2) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new use described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Protection in the workplace.** Requirements as specified in § [721.63 (a)(2)(i)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-2-i) and [(a)(3)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-a-3).
    - (ii) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in § [721.80(o)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=o) and [(j)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=j).
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in § [721.125 (a)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=b), [(c)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=c), [(d)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=d), and [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i) are applicable to manufacturers, importers, and processors of this substance.
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
  - (3) **Determining whether a specific use is subject to this section.** The provisions of [§ 721.1725(b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.1725.md?p=b-1) apply to this section.
