# §721.5225. Naphthalene,1,2,3,4-tetra- hydro(1-phenylethyl) (specific name).

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance naphthalene,1,2,3,4-tetrahydro(1-phenylethyl) (PMN P-85-1331) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Hazard communication program.** Requirements as specified in § [721.72 (b)(2)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b-2), [(c)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b-c), [(e)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b-e) [concentration set at 1.0 percent], (f), and (g)(3)(i) and (g)(3)(ii), (g)(4)(i) and (g)(4)(iii), and (g)(5).
    - (ii) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in [§ 721.80(k)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=k).
    - (iii) **Disposal.** Requirements as specified in [§ 721.85 (a)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=a) (1) and (2), (b)(1) and (b)(2), and (c)(1) and (c)(2).
    - (iv) [Reserved]
    - (v) **Release to water.** Requirements as specified in § [721.90 (a)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=a-4), [(b)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=b-4), and [(c)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=c-4) (where n = 1).
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** The following recordkeeping requirements are applicable to manufacturers, importers, and processors of this substance, as specified in [§ 721.125 (a) through (k)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a..k).
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this significant new use rule.
  - (3) **Determining whether a specific use is subject to this section.** The provisions of [§ 721.1725(b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.1725.md?p=b-1) apply to this section.
