# §721.2675. Perfluoroalkyl epoxide (generic name).

- (a) **Chemical substances and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance identified generically as perfluoroalkyl epoxide (PMN P-86-562) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Protection in the workplace.** Requirements as specified in § [721.63 (a)(1)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-1), [(a)(3)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-3), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-b) (concentration set at 0.1 percent), and (c).
    - (ii) **Hazard communication program.** Requirements as specified in § [721.72 (a)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=a), [(b)(2)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b-2), [(d)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b-d), [(e)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b-e) (concentration set at 0.1 percent), (f), (g)(1)(vi), (g)(1)(vii), (g)(2)(i) and (g)(2)(v). The provision of [§ 721.72(d)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=d) requiring that employees be provided with information on the location and availability of SDSs does not apply when an SDS is not required under [§ 721.72(c)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=c). The provision of [§ 721.72(g)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g) requiring placement of specific information on an SDS does not apply when an SDS is not required under [§ 721.72(c)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=c).
    - (iii) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in § [721.80 (g)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=g) and [(q)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=q).
    - (iv) **Disposal.** Requirements as specified in § [721.85 (a)(1)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=a-1), [(a)(2)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=a-2), [(b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=b-1), [(b)(2)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=b-2), [(c)(1)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=c-1), and [(c)(2)](/cfr/40/721.85.md?p=c-2).
    - (v) **Release to water.** § [721.90 (a)(3)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=a-3), [(b)(3)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=b-3), and [(c)(3)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=c-3).
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** The following recordkeeping requirements are applicable to manufacturers, importers, and processors of this substance, as specified in § [721.125 (a) through (g)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a..g), [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i), [(j)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=j), and [(k)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=k).
  - (2) **Determining whether a specific use is subject to this section.** The provisions of [§ 721.1725(b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.1725.md?p=b-1) apply to this section.
  - (3) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this significant new use rule.
