# §721.2575. Disubstituted diphenylsulfone.

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance identified generically as disubstituted diphenylsulfone (PMN P-92-1119) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Protection in the workplace.** Requirements as specified in § [721.63(a)(1)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-1), [(a)(3)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-3), [(a)(4)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-4), [(a)(5)(i)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-5-i), [(a)(5)(ii)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-5-ii), [(a)(5)(iv)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-5-iv), [(a)(5)(v)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-5-v), [(a)(6)(i)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-6-i), [(a)(6)(ii)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-6-ii), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-6-b) (concentration set at 0.1 percent), and (c).
    - (ii) **Hazard communication program.** Requirements as specified in § [721.72 (a)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b), [(c)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=c), [(d)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=d), [(f)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=f), [(g)(1)(vi)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-1-vi), [(g)(1)(vii)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-1-vii), [(g)(2)(iii)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-2-iii), [(g)(2)(iv)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-2-iv), [(g)(2)(v)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-2-v), [(g)(3)(ii)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-3-ii), [(g)(4)(iii)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-4-iii), and [(g)(5)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g-g-5). The following additional statements shall appear on each label and SDS as required by this paragraph: This substance may cause blood effects.
    - (iii) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in § [721.80 (f)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=f), [(o)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=o), and [(q)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=q).
    - (iv) **Release to water.** Requirements as specified in § [721.90 (b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=b-1) and [(c)(1)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=c-1).
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in [§ 721.125 (a) through (k)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a..k) are applicable to manufacturers, importers, and processors of this substance.
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
  - (3) **Determining whether a specific use is subject to this section.** The provisions of [§ 721.1725(b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.1725.md?p=b-1) apply to this section.
