# §721.1775. 6-Nitro-2(3 H )-benzoxazolone.

- (a) **Chemical substances and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance 6-nitro-2(3H)-benzoxazolone (PMN P-84-963) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Protection in the workplace.** Requirements as specified in § [721.63 (a)(1)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-1), [(a)(3)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-3), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.63.md?p=a-b) (concentration set at 0.1 percent), and (c).
    - (ii) **Hazard communication program.** Requirements as specified in § [721.72 (a)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=a), [(e)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=e) (concentration set at 0.1 percent), (f), (g)(1)(vii), (g)(2)(i), (g)(2)(ii), and (g)(2)(v). The provisions of [§ 721.72(g)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=g) requiring placement of specific information on a label and SDS do not apply when a label and SDS are not required under § [721.72 (b)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=b) and [(c)](/cfr/40/721.72.md?p=c), respectively.
    - (iii) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in § [721.80 (v)(1)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=v-1), [(w)(1)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=w-1), [(x)(1)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=x-1), and [(y)(2)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=y-2).
    - (iv) **Release to water.** Requirements as specified in § [721.90 (a)(1)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=a-1), [(b)(1)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=b-1), and [(c)(1)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=c-1).
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** The following recordkeeping requirements are applicable to manufacturers, importers, and processors of this substance, as specified in § [721.125 (d)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=d), [(e)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=e), [(f)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=f), and [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i).
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
