# §721.11596. Aldehyde, polymer with mixed alkane polyamines, 2,2′-[1,4-alkanediylbis(oxyalkylene)]bis[oxirane], 2-(alkoxyalkyloxirane, 4,4′-(1-alkylidene)bis[phenol], 2,2′-[(1-alkylidene)bis(4,1-alkyleneoxyalkylene)]bis[oxirane] and 2-(aryloxyalkyl)oxirane, acetate (salt) (generic).

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance generically identified as aldehyde, polymer with mixed alkane polyamines, 2,2′-[1,4-alkanediylbis(oxyalkylene)]bis[oxirane], 2-(alkoxyalkyloxirane, 4,4′-(1-alkylidene)bis[phenol], 2,2′-[(1-alkylidene)bis(4,1-alkyleneoxyalkylene)]bis[oxirane] and 2-(aryloxyalkyl)oxirane, acetate (salt) (PMN P-19-143) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section. The requirements of this section do not apply to quantities of the PMN substance after they have been completely reacted (cured) or destroyed.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in [§ 721.80(o)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=o). It is a significant new use to manufacture, process, or use the PMN substance in a manner that results in inhalation exposure to either the PMN substance or to formaldehyde.
    - (ii) **Release to water.** Requirements as specified in § [721.90(a)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=a-4), [(b)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=b-4) and [(c)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=c-4), where N = 1.
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of [subpart A](/cfr/40/subpartA.md) of this part apply to this section except as modified by this [paragraph (b)](#b).
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in § [721.125(a) through (c)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a..c), [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i), and [(k)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=k) are applicable to manufacturers and processors of this substance.
  - (2) **Limitation or revocation of certain modification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
