# §721.11291. Polythioether, short chain diol polymer terminated with aliphatic diisocyanate (generic).

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance identified generically as polythioether, short chain diol polymer terminated with aliphatic diisocyanate (PMN P-18-219) is subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** It is a significant new use to manufacture the PMN substance with molecular weight greater than 10,000 daltons. It is a significant new use to manufacture the PMN substance with free isocyanate residuals greater than 0.01% by weight.
    - (ii) [Reserved]
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of [subpart A](/cfr/40/subpartA.md) of this part apply to this section except as modified by this [paragraph (b)](#b).
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in [§ 721.125(a)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a) though (c) and (i) are applicable to manufacturers and processors of this substance.
  - (2) **Limitation or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
