# §721.10936. Fatty acid amide hydrochlorides (generic).

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substances identified generically as fatty acid amide hydrochlorides (PMNs P-14-688, P-14-689, P-14-690, and P-14-691) are subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in [§ 721.80](/cfr/40/721.80.md). A significant new use of the substances is any use other than as surfactants for use in asphalt applications where the surface water concentrations described under [paragraph (a)(3)(i)](#a-3-i) of this section are exceeded.
    - (ii) [Reserved]
  - (3) **The significant new uses for any use other than as surfactants for use in asphalt applications are—**
    - (i) **Release to water.** Requirements as specified in § [721.90(a)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=a-4), [(b)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=b-4), and [(c)(4)](/cfr/40/721.90.md?p=c-4) (N=1 for PMNs P-14-688, P-14-689, and P-14-690) and (N=2 for PMN P-14-691).
    - (ii) [Reserved]
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in § [721.125(a)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=b), [(c)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=c), [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i), and [(k)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=k) are applicable to manufacturers and processors of these substances.
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
