# §721.10686. Fatty acid amides (generic).

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substances identified generically as fatty acid amides (PMNs P-13-180, P-13-181, P-13-182, P-13-183, P-13-184, and P-13-185) are subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in [§ 721.80](/cfr/40/721.80.md). A significant new use is any use other than as adhesion promoters for asphalt applications or emulsifiers for asphalt applications.
    - (ii) [Reserved]
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in § [721.125 (a)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=b), [(c)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=c), and [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i) are applicable to manufacturers and processors of these substances.
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
