# §721.10239. Trivalent chromium complexes of a substituted beta-naphthol amine azo dye (generic).

- (a) **Chemical substance and significant new uses subject to reporting.**
  - (1) The chemical substance identified generically as trivalent chromium complexes of a substituted beta-naphthol amine azo dye (PMNs P-09-152 and P-09-153) are subject to reporting under this section for the significant new uses described in [paragraph (a)(2)](#a-2) of this section.
  - (2) **The significant new uses are—**
    - (i) **Industrial, commercial, and consumer activities.** Requirements as specified in § [721.80(f)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=f) and [(j)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=j) (acid dye for coloring anodized aluminum). Also, requirements as specified in § [721.80(v)(1)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=v-1), [(v)(2)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=v-2), [(w)(1)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=w-1), [(w)(2)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=w-2), [(x)(1)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=x-1), and [(x)(2)](/cfr/40/721.80.md?p=x-2), except that importing, processing, and use of the PMN substance in the form of a wet press cake containing greater than 30 percent water does not require submission of a SNUN.
    - (ii) [Reserved]
- (b) **Specific requirements.** The provisions of subpart A of this part apply to this section except as modified by this paragraph.
  - (1) **Recordkeeping.** Recordkeeping requirements as specified in § [721.125(a)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=a), [(b)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=b), [(c)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=c), and [(i)](/cfr/40/721.125.md?p=i) are applicable to manufacturers, importers, and processors of this substance.
  - (2) **Limitations or revocation of certain notification requirements.** The provisions of [§ 721.185](/cfr/40/721.185.md) apply to this section.
