# §63.9918. How do I demonstrate initial compliance with the operation and maintenance requirements that apply to me?


You must demonstrate initial compliance by certifying in your notification of compliance status that you have met the requirements in paragraphs [(a)](#a) and [(b)](#b) of this section.

- (a) You have prepared the operation and maintenance plan according to the requirements in [§ 63.9910](/cfr/40/63.9910.md); and
- (b) You will operate each control device according to the procedures in the plan.
