# §63.3170. By what date must I conduct performance tests and other initial compliance demonstrations?

- (a) **New and reconstructed affected sources.** For a new or reconstructed affected source, you must meet the requirements of [paragraphs (a)(1) through (4)](/cfr/40/63.3160.md?p=a-1..a-4) of § 63.3160.
- (b) **Existing affected sources.** For an existing affected source, you must meet the requirements of [paragraphs (b)(1) through (3)](/cfr/40/63.3160.md?p=b-1..b-3) of § 63.3160.
