# §63.2261. By what date must I conduct performance tests or other initial compliance demonstrations?

- (a) You must conduct performance tests upon initial startup or no later than 180 calendar days after the compliance date that is specified for your source in [§ 63.2233](/cfr/40/63.2233.md) and according to [§ 63.7(a)(2)](/cfr/40/63.7.md?p=a-2), whichever is later.
- (b) You must conduct initial compliance demonstrations that do not require performance tests upon initial startup or no later than 30 calendar days after the compliance date that is specified for your source in [§ 63.2233](/cfr/40/63.2233.md), whichever is later.
