# §63.1449. By what dates must I conduct performance tests or other initial compliance demonstrations?

- (a) As required in [§ 63.7(a)(2)](/cfr/40/63.7.md?p=a-2), you must conduct a performance test within 180 calendar days of the compliance date that is specified in [§ 63.1443](/cfr/40/63.1443.md) for your affected source to demonstrate initial compliance with each emission and opacity limit in §§ [63.1444](/cfr/40/63.1444.md) and [63.1446](/cfr/40/63.1446.md) that applies to you.
- (b) For each work practice standard and operation and maintenance requirement that applies to you where initial compliance is not demonstrated using a performance test or opacity observation, you must demonstrate initial compliance within 30 calendar days after the compliance date that is specified for your affected source in [§ 63.1443](/cfr/40/63.1443.md).
