# §62.15000. What is the purpose of this subpart?

- (a) This subpart establishes emission requirements and compliance schedules for the control of emissions from existing small municipal waste combustion units that are not covered by an EPA approved and effective State plan. The pollutants addressed by these emission requirements are listed in tables 2, 3, 4, and 5 of this subpart. These emission requirements are developed in accordance with sections 111(d) and 129 of the Clean Air Act and [subpart B](/cfr/40/subpartB.md) of [40 CFR part 60](/cfr/40/part60.md).
- (b) In this subpart, “you” means the owner or operator of a small municipal waste combustion unit.
