# §60.4820. How do I obtain my operator qualification?

- (a) You must obtain operator qualification by completing a training course that satisfies the criteria under [§ 60.4810(b)](/cfr/40/60.4810.md?p=b).
- (b) Qualification is valid from the date on which the training course is completed and the operator successfully passes the examination required under [§ 60.4810(c)(2)](/cfr/40/60.4810.md?p=c-2).
