# §60.4765. When does this subpart become effective?


This subpart takes effect on September 21, 2011. Some of the requirements in this subpart apply to planning a SSI unit and must be completed even before construction is initiated on a SSI unit (i.e., the preconstruction requirements in §§ [60.4800](/cfr/40/60.4800.md) and [60.4805](/cfr/40/60.4805.md)). Other requirements such as the emission limits, emission standards, and operating limits apply after the SSI unit begins operation.
