# §60.442. Standard for volatile organic compounds.

- (a) On and after the date on which the performance test required by [§ 60.8](/cfr/40/60.8.md) has been completed each owner or operator subject to this subpart shall:
  - (1) Cause the discharge into the atmosphere from an affected facility not more than 0.20 kg VOC/kg of coating solids applied as calculated on a weighted average basis for one calendar month; or
  - (2) Demonstrate for each affected facility;
    - (i) A 90 percent overall VOC emission reduction as calculated over a calendar month; or
    - (ii) The percent overall VOC emission reduction specified in [§ 60.443(b)](/cfr/40/60.443.md?p=b) as calculated over a calendar month.
