# §60.4335a. How do I demonstrate compliance with my NO X emissions standard without using a NO X CEMS if I use water or steam injection?

If you qualify and elect to demonstrate continuous compliance according to the provisions of [§ 60.4333a(c)(1)](/cfr/40/60.4333a.md?p=c-1), you must install, calibrate, maintain, and operate a continuous monitoring system to monitor and record the fuel consumption and the water or steam to fuel ratio fired in the combustion turbine engine consistent with the requirements in [§ 60.4342a](/cfr/40/60.4342a.md). Water or steam only needs to be injected when a fuel is being combusted that requires water or steam injection for compliance with the applicable NOX emissions standard.
