# §60.2085. How do I maintain my operator qualification?


To maintain qualification, you must complete an annual review or refresher course covering, at a minimum, the five topics described in [paragraphs (a) through (e)](#a..e) of this section:

- (a) Update of regulations;
- (b) Incinerator operation, including startup and shutdown procedures, waste charging, and ash handling;
- (c) Inspection and maintenance;
- (d) Prevention and correction of malfunctions or conditions that may lead to malfunction; and
- (e) **Discussion of operating problems encountered by attendees.**
