# §60.1575. How does the model rule relate to the required elements of my State plan?


The model rule may be used to satisfy the State plan requirements specified in § [60.1515(a)(4)](/cfr/40/60.1515.md?p=a-4) and [(5)](/cfr/40/60.1515.md?p=a-5). Alternative language may be used in your State plan, but only if you can demonstrate that the alternative language is as protective as the model rule.
