# §59.516. Availability of information and confidentiality.

- (a) **Availability of information.** The availability to the public of information provided to or otherwise obtained by the Administrator under this part shall be governed by [part 2](/cfr/40/part2.md) of this chapter.
- (b) **Confidentiality.** All confidential business information entitled to protection under section 114(c) of the Clean Air Act (CAA) that must be submitted or maintained by each regulated entity pursuant to this subpart shall be treated in accordance with [40 CFR part 2](/cfr/40/part2.md), subpart B.
- (c) **Reports and Applications.** The content of all reports and applications required to be submitted to the Agency under [§ 59.511](/cfr/40/59.511.md), [§ 59.509](/cfr/40/59.509.md), or [§ 59.502](/cfr/40/59.502.md) are not entitled to protection under [Section 114(c)](/cfr/40/114.md?p=c) of the CAA.
