# §412.33. Effluent limitations attainable by the application of the best available technology economically achievable (BAT).


Except as provided in [40 CFR 125.30 through 125.32](/cfr/40/125.30..125.32.md), any existing point source subject to this subpart must achieve the following effluent limitations representing the application of BAT:

- (a) **For CAFO production areas—** the CAFO shall attain the same limitations and requirements as [§ 412.31(a)](/cfr/40/412.31.md?p=a).
- (b) **For CAFO land application areas—** the CAFO shall attain the same limitations and requirements as [§ 412.31(b)](/cfr/40/412.31.md?p=b).
