# §35.330. Purpose.

- (a) **Purpose of section.** [Sections 35.330 through 35.335](/cfr/40/35.330..35.335.md) govern Underground Storage Tank Grants to States (as defined in section 1004 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act) under [section 2007(f)(2)](/cfr/40/2007.md?p=f-2) of the Act.
- (b) **Purpose of program.** State Underground Storage Tank Grants are awarded to States to develop and implement a State underground storage tank release detection, prevention, and corrective action program under Subtitle I of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
- (c) **Associated program regulations.** Associated program regulations are found in 40 CFR parts [280](/cfr/40/part280.md) through [282](/cfr/40/part282.md).
