# §35.210. Purpose.

- (a) **Purpose of section.** [Sections 35.210 through 35.218](/cfr/40/35.210..35.218.md) govern Hazardous Waste Management Grants to States (as defined in section 1004 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act) under [section 3011(a)](/cfr/40/3011.md?p=a) of the Act.
- (b) **Purpose of program.** Hazardous Waste Management Grants are awarded to assist States in the development and implementation of authorized State hazardous waste management programs.
- (c) **Associated program regulations.** Associated program regulations are at [40 CFR part 124](/cfr/40/part124.md), subparts [B](/cfr/40/subpartB.md), [E](/cfr/40/subpartE.md), and F; 40 CFR parts [260](/cfr/40/part260.md) through [266](/cfr/40/part266.md); 40 CFR parts [268](/cfr/40/part268.md) through [273](/cfr/40/part273.md); and [40 CFR part 279](/cfr/40/part279.md).
