# §35.100. Purpose of the subpart.


This subpart establishes administrative requirements for all grants awarded to State, interstate, and local agencies and other entities for the environmental programs listed in [§ 35.101](/cfr/40/35.101.md). These provisions supplement the EPA general assistance regulations in 2 CFR parts [200](/cfr/2/part200.md) and [1500](/cfr/2/part1500.md). [Sections 35.100-35.118](/cfr/40/35.100-35.118.md) contain administrative requirements that apply to all environmental program grants included in this subpart. [Sections 35.130-35.418](/cfr/40/35.130-35.418.md) contain requirements that apply to specified environmental program grants. Many of these environmental programs also have programmatic and technical requirements that are published elsewhere in the Code of Federal Regulations.
