# §205.57-4. Testing procedures.

- (a) The manufacturer shall conduct one valid test in accordance with the test procedures specified in [§ 205.54](/cfr/40/205.54.md) of this subpart for each vehicle selected for testing pursuant to this subpart.
- (b) No maintenance will be performed on test vehicles except as provided for by [§ 205.57-3](/cfr/40/205.57-3.md). In the event a vehicle is unable to complete the emission test, the manufacturer may replace the vehicle. Any replacement vehicle will be a production vehicle of the same configuration as the replaced vehicle. It will be randomly selected from the batch sample and will be subject to all the provisions of these regulations.
