# §180.300. Ethephon; tolerances for residues.

- (a) **General.** Tolerances are established for residues of the plant regulator ethephon [(2-chloroethyl) phosphonic acid] in or on food commodities as follows:
- (b) **Section 18 emergency exemptions.** [Reserved]
- (c) **Tolerances with regional registrations.** A tolerance with regional registration, as defined in [§ 180.1(m)](/cfr/40/180.1.md?p=m), of 0.1 part per million is established for residues of the plant regulator ethephon [(2-chloroethyl)phosphonic acid] in or on the food commodity sugarcane.
- (d) **Indirect or inadvertent residues.** [Reserved]
