# §1515.2. What kind of records does CEQ maintain?


CEQ carries out responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as amended ([42 U.S.C. 4321-4347](/usc/42/4321-4347.md)); the Environmental Quality Improvement Act of 1970, as amended ([42 U.S.C. 4371-4375](/usc/42/4371-4375.md)); Reorganization Plan No. 1 of 1977 (July 15, 1977); and various Executive orders, among other authorities. CEQ maintains certain records on these subjects, among others.
