# §147.851. State-administered program—Class II wells.


The UIC program for Class II wells in the State of Kansas, except those on Indian lands as described in [§ 147.860](/cfr/40/147.860.md), is the program administered by the Kansas Corporation Commission and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, approved by EPA pursuant to [section 1425](/cfr/40/1425.md) of the SDWA. Notice of this approval was published in the Federal Register on February 8, 1984 (49 FR 4735); the effective date of this program is February 8, 1984. This program consists of the following elements, as submitted to EPA in the State's program application.
