# §141.604. Very small system waivers.

- (a) If you serve fewer than 500 people and you have taken TTHM and HAA5 samples under [subpart L](/cfr/40/subpartL.md) of this part, you are not required to comply with this subpart unless the State notifies you that you must conduct standard monitoring under [§ 141.601](/cfr/40/141.601.md) or a system specific study under [§ 141.602](/cfr/40/141.602.md).
- (b) If you have not taken TTHM and HAA5 samples under [subpart L](/cfr/40/subpartL.md) of this part or if the State notifies you that you must comply with this subpart, you must conduct standard monitoring under [§ 141.601](/cfr/40/141.601.md) or a system specific study under [§ 141.602](/cfr/40/141.602.md).
