# §4.3. Postmaster General.


The appointment and role of the Postmaster General are described at 39 U.S.C. [202(c)](/usc/39/202.md?p=c), [203](/usc/39/203.md). The Governors set the compensation and benefits of the Postmaster General by resolution, subject to 39 U.S.C. [1003(a)](/usc/39/1003.md?p=a) and [3686](/usc/39/3686.md).
