# §3065.3. Procedure for seeking clarification or interpretation.

- (a) The Commission may, on its own motion, initiate a proceeding under this subpart pursuant to [§ 3010.201(a)](/cfr/39/3010.201.md?p=a) of this chapter.
- (b) The Commission may provide interpretation of these regulations or [39 U.S.C. 601](/usc/39/601.md) upon:
  - (1) A party's request to initiate a rulemaking proceeding with the Commission pursuant to the requirements of [§ 3010.201(b)](/cfr/39/3010.201.md?p=b) of this chapter; or
  - (2) **A party's request for an advisory opinion from the General Counsel.**
