# §291.10. Collecting.


A paleontological resource may only be collected from National Forest System lands in accordance with the casual collecting provisions in §§ [291.11](/cfr/36/291.11.md) and [291.12](/cfr/36/291.12.md), or in accordance with a permit issued by the Authorized Officer as identified in [§ 291.13](/cfr/36/291.13.md).
