# §261.22. Unauthorized use of “Smokey Bear” and “Woodsy Owl” symbol.

- (a) Manufacture, importation, reproduction, or use of “Smokey Bear” except as provided under §§ [271.2](/cfr/36/271.2.md), [271.3](/cfr/36/271.3.md), or [271.4](/cfr/36/271.4.md) is prohibited.
- (b) Manufacture, importation, reproduction, or use of “Woodsy Owl” except as provided under §§ [272.2](/cfr/36/272.2.md), [272.3](/cfr/36/272.3.md), or [272.4](/cfr/36/272.4.md) is prohibited.
