# §75.524. Conflict of interest: Purpose of § 75.525.

- (a) The conflict of interest regulations of the Department that apply to a grant are in [§ 75.525](/cfr/34/75.525.md).
- (b) These conflict of interest regulations do not apply to a “local government,” as defined in [2 CFR 200.64](/cfr/2/200.64.md), or a “State,” as defined in [2 CFR 200.90](/cfr/2/200.90.md).
- (c) The regulations in [§ 75.525](/cfr/34/75.525.md) do not apply to a grantee's procurement contracts. The conflict of interest regulations that cover those procurement contracts are in [2 CFR part 200](/cfr/2/part200.md).
